Kristine Mangini, Nurse Practitioner
Kristine Mangini is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with specialty qualifications to diagnose and treat patients across the lifespan (children, adolescents, and adults) in primary and psychiatric medicine. She is a graduate of West Virginia University with two Bachelor’s degrees, Animal Science and Nursing. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Nursing Family Practice at Barry University in Miami, Florida. Some of her areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder.
Kristine’s style of practice can best be described as integrative, meaning she uses a combination of traditional and alternative medicine with a focus on the body and mind as an entity that must work together in synchrony. She prides herself on staying up to date on evidence-based practice guidelines, medical research, and holistic treatments so that she can develop a plan of care that fits each patient individually.
Kristine realized early on her passion was helping people achieve their healthiest state of mind and body, and with over ten years of experience in the medical field she continues to strive towards this goal every day. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her animals, reading, riding her bike, and enjoying the beach, no matter the weather.
Julia Forehand, LCMHCS, NCC
Julia earned a BA in Psychology and MS in Counselor Education from East Carolina University. Julia was a school counselor for 10 years in three different counties in North Carolina. She is still a Licensed School Counselor through the Department of Public Instruction in North Carolina. When Julia and her husband moved to Hampstead, NC she took a job at the Local Managed Care Organization as an Adult Care Coordinator working with adults with metal health and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Julia has been in the mental health field for about 16 years and has served all ages and populations. Julia is currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist Supervisor (LCMHCS) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) at Coastal Ridge Health Services and enjoys working with the patients and other professionals to ensure the best quality of care is given.
